Effectively, the MultEPoS Pharmacy EPoS System will operate on any industry standard EPoS hardware, although most users have selected the EPoS Units that MultEPoS manufacture specially for pharmacy. However, as an IBM Business Partner, MultEPoS can also install its systems on the comprehensive range of EPoS Units available from IBM.
The MultEPoS EPoS Unit has been specifically designed for Pharmacy EPoS operation. It is, in effect, a very powerful PC ‘packaged’ into a conventional EPoS Unit design, incorporating all the specific requirements of a Pharmacy EPoS system.
Each EPoS Unit may be installed and operated on a ‘Stand Alone’ basis, or may be networked together in a multi-till site and connected to a ‘back office’ control computer, if required.
Because the EPoS Unit is also a ‘PC’ it can be used for any purpose, not just for processing customer sales transactions. With the use of the powerful ‘Multi-Mode’ facility, the sales assistant can switch instantly from customer sales mode to general use, and visa versa, by pressing a single key.
In addition to the EPoS Unit described above, and a back office computer, MultEPoS also provide the optional use of a DENSO Hand Held Data Terminal, for off line entry of price changes, stock counts, returns, etc.
Included with each EPoS System is a Printer for management reports, and a fast modem for automatic ordering to suppliers, and for communications with MultEPoS.
